DEATH INVESTIGATION

$60,000 REWARD!

Lakewood Police detectives and the FBI need your help in finding out what happened to Adre'anna Jackson, a 10-year-old girl from the Tillicum area of Lakewood.

She was last seen walking from her family's apartment on Portland Ave. SW to Tillicum Elementary at 7:45 a.m. on the morning of Friday December 2nd, 2005.

Her remains were found on April 4th in a vacant lot in the 7500 block of 146th St. SW in the Woodbrook area of Lakewood, approximately 2 miles from her house.

UPDATE
Billboards urge public to help crack cold case
The News Tribune
March 27th, 2007

A media campaign was unveiled Monday to help solve the mysterious death of 10-year-old Adre'anna Jackson.

Officials from Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers, Lakewood police and Clear Channel Outdoor Co. stood along Union Avenue in Tacoma while workers lifted a white sheet that had covered one of five billboards dedicated to the unsolved case.

Case history

Adre'anna was reportedly last seen Dec. 2, 2005, as she headed to Tillicum Elementary School to see whether were classes had been canceled after an overnight snowfall. She never made it to the school, where she was a fourth-grader.

Two boys found her remains April 4, 2006, in a vacant lot about two miles from the family's apartment on Wadsworth Street Southwest. The cause and manner of her death remain undetermined, but police are treating it as a homicide. No arrests have been reported.

Officials urged people to call in tips, no matter how insignificant they think the information is.

"If you have any idea, inkling, bring it on in," Gervais said.

Billboard locations

  • Union Avenue and South Center Street in Tacoma.
  • Steele Street and 112th Street South on the border of Lakewood and Parkland.
  • South 74th Street and South Tacoma Way in Tacoma.
  • Meridian South and 120th Street East on South Hill.
  • Union Avenue and Orchard Street Southwest in Tillicum.
