ROBBERY
Tacoma Police detectives need your help in locating robbery suspect Albert VanBuren Jr. Felony warrants have been issued for VanBurens arrest for Robbery in the 1st degree, Escape, and Failure to Register as a Level 3 Sex Offender.
Detectives believe that on Wednesday January 23rd, 2008 at 3:50 p.m., suspect Albert VanBuren test-drove a vehicle from a car dealership on South Tacoma Way in Tacoma. When the salesman asked VanBuren to drive them back to the dealership, VanBuren implied he was armed, forced the salesman from the vehicle, and then drove away.
Albert E. VanBuren Jr. is a black male, 26 years old, 5'9", 195 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He is a Level 3 sex offender for convictions in 2003 for Rape of a Child in the 3rd degree and Rape in the 3rd degree. VanBuren is a transient, and on the same day as the robbery he removed a court-ordered GPS tracking device from his ankle.
