Crime of the Week for 9 March 2008
SOLVED
BANK ROBBERY
Pierce County Sheriff's detectives need your help in solving a bank robbery. On
Wednesday March 5th, 2008 at 1:10 p.m., the pictured suspect robbed a US Bank
branch inside the Safeway grocery store located in the 3800 block of Bridgeport Way
W. in University Place.
The suspect entered the grocery store, approached the bank counter and gave the
teller a note demanding cash. The suspect placed the money inside a backpack and
walked out of the store.
The suspect is described as a white male, 50 to 60 years old, 5'10", 225 lbs, heavy
build, and was clean shaven. During the robbery, he wore a blue baseball hat, a dark
button-up collared shirt and sunglasses.
