Crime of the Week for 25 January 2009
PURSE SNATCHING
Tacoma Police detectives need your help to identify the suspects responsible for a series of purse snatchings. On Monday January 19th, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., the two pictured suspects approached a woman outside the Tacoma Mall Macy's store, grabbed the woman's purse, entered a waiting vehicle and fled. Forty five minutes later, the same suspects snatched a teenage girl's purse outside of the Nordstrom's store, and fled in the same vehicle.
The first suspect is described as a black male, 18 years old, 6', medium build, with black hair in shoulder-length dreadlocks. During the incidents he was wearing a black and white baseball hat, a black and white jacket, and jeans.
The second suspect is described as a light-skinned black female, 18 years old, 5'3", with a slender build. She was seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and pink pants.
The suspects' vehicle is described as a light blue, late 1980's to early 1990's, 4-door Subaru sedan driven by an unidentified black male.
Receive up to $1000 dollars for information leading to the arrest and charges filed for the person in this case.
