Crime of the Week for 12 April 2009
SERIAL ARMED ROBBERY
Police from throughout the Puget Sound area need your help to identify the two suspects responsible for a series of takeover robberies targeting auto parts stores and restaurants. Since April of 2008, eleven similar armed robberies have occurred in Kitsap, Pierce, Thurston, King and Mason County, including:
- 4/16/2008, Dollar Store, Silverdale
- 7/29/2008, Auto Zone, Tacoma
- 9/22/2008, Great Clips, Port Orchard
- 9/27/2008, Auto Zone, Bremerton
- 11/14/2008, Oh Gallagers Pub, Lakewood
- 12/11/2008, Arco AM/PM, Fife
- 12/13/2008, Auto Zone, Lakewood
- 1/30/2009, Subway, Olympia
- 2/28/2009, Shucks Auto Supply, Kent
- 3/19/2009, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Shelton
- 4/13/2009, Auto Zone, Edgewood

The most recent robbery occurred on Monday April 13th, 2009. At 8:59 p.m., two unidentified suspects robbed an Auto Zone store on Meridian Ave. E. in Edgewood. The suspects displayed firearms and demanded cash from the registers and the safe. The suspects tied up the employees, then stole cash and multiple items from the store before fleeing. Both suspects were described as heavy set black males in their 20's.
Receive up to $1000 dollars for information leading to the arrest and charges filed for the person in this case.
