Crime of the Week for 27 September 2009
BURGLARY & FRAUD
The Pierce County Sheriffs Department needs your help to identify the four pictured suspects, who are believed to be responsible for a series of burglaries and fraudulent credit card purchases in the Gig Harbor area.
Just after midnight on August 17th, 2009, unidentified suspect(s) entered the garage of a residence on 53rd Ave. NW in Gig Harbor. The homeowner heard the garage door open, and later discovered two GPS systems and a purse containing credit cards had been stolen from vehicles inside of the garage. The suspects immediately used the stolen credits cards to make thousands of dollars in purchases at gas stations, Victorias Secret, and Target stores in Tacoma and Gig Harbor. An unidentified male and a female were captured on store surveillance filling shopping carts with items, and then a second unidentified person enters the store and pays for the items.
Investigators believe this case may be related to three other similar burglaries of garages and occupied homes, and credit cards thefts in the Gig Harbor area.
